Burn it Down, a film collective founded by Jean Goto + Jessica O'Hara-Baker, launched its third season, along with a new wing and a shiny new website! 
​
The brand new Production Wing builds on the existing goals of the Burn it Down workshops (learning-by-doing in a collaborative environment), by essentially creating a fuller film production experience. We seek to do two things in its inaugural season:
Product: Create two festival-level short films.
Process: Actively work on a filmmaking process that values collaboration and support, and improve set culture.
We are excited about both learning valuable filmmaking skills as well as cultivating a less ego-driven culture. The Production Wing is built on the belief that the Product benefits by a thoughtful Process.

It’s heady times for the Slotted Spoons, a dance troupe of four middle-aged moms. The mayor’s retirement celebration will be the biggest show of their lives, but the moms need a new choreographer, and they need one fast. Fortune upon fortunes, their fearless leader, Jenny Hu, has secured the services of an exquisitely, hauntingly, unconventional young woman named India (no relation to the country) who soon has the Spoons whipped up into some kind of a… a… well, it’s not a dance, exactly? There’s a lot of soul-baring. Maybe too much. And a huge bag of what they’re told is just sweet, sweet, candy.
